Markdown Tools

  • Format Table aligns the pipes of the table around the cursor and keeps the :---: alignment. Write a rough table, run the command, done.
  • Insert Table makes an empty table of the size you ask for.
  • Insert Table of Contents builds a nested list of links from your headings (ignoring code blocks), with GitHub style anchors.
  • Toggle Task Checkbox turns - [ ] into - [x] and back, and makes a plain line a task. Shortcut: Shift+Alt+X.
  • Promote / Demote Heading changes the level of the headings in the selection.
  • Sort Selected List and Make Selection a Link.
